In May the VJH Physician Society (VJHPS) invited physicians to an open Working Group dinner meeting at the Prestige Hotel to discuss the Society’s strategic direction. The key message was clear: physicians want opportunities to connect outside of work in ways that are easy, accessible and fun.
To that end, Dr. Shannon Rourke, member of the VJHPS Working Group stepped forward and organized a Saturday morning walk. This event met all the criteria. Held on the beautiful Okanagan Rail Trail, no advance registration was required; families were welcome and as the photos reflect, a good time was had by all.
Look for more of these simple, somewhat spontaneous events in the fall.
